It is hard to believe that January will soon be over. Time certainly has a way of slipping by. I've spent a chuck of my time lately reviewing accounting software. Finally settled on the best resource to meet my needs. Not my favorite means of passing time but was certainly necessary.
This seems to be the case in many circumstances. There are certain things we need to accomplish, which do not lie within our scope of interest or even at times we may carry a dislike for doing a particular thing. Something I do when there is a difficult or disliked task I need to accomplish is to award myself. After I accomplish my task, I treat myself to something that brings delight.
Below are a few things, which bring me delight and some of them might make great award treats for you.
1. Take time to cuddle up with a good book and a warm cup of tea.
2. Watch a DVD movie that you've been longing to view, but never got around to. (Inviting a friend over to share the movie makes it even better!)
3. Visit blogger friends blogs…this is a wonderful way to fellowship!
4. Spend time chatting on the phone with an old friend or family member.
5. Pamper yourself with some shopping…online shopping works best for me.
These are just a few ideas, which you can do without leaving your house and thoroughly enjoy. Having something to look forward to after a difficult task is completed helps provide inspiration and motivation.
Have a blessed day!
Cheers,
Gin

I've been a little sleepy throughout the day. It is an overcast day with slightly windy conditions. Thinking about fixing myself a hot cup of my favorite tea and then put on a favorite movie or perhaps read a treasured book as I enjoy my tea. My most treasured book is the Bible. I also enjoy reading heart-warming, inspirational books, such as Chicken Soup For the Soul books.
When it comes to movies, it becomes much more difficult for me to decide on a favorite. One of my most favorite movies is "Hoosiers". I've seen it numerous times and each time I thoroughly enjoy the cherished story of a small town Indiana High School basketball team that wins the coveted State Championship title. Perhaps my favorite part in the movie was when Coach Dale told the team "I don't care what the scoreboard says at the end of the game, in my book we're gonna be winners." What a wonderful way to inspire his players.
Watching a movie together is a great way for a family to bond. If you find the kids continually occupied with using the computer or cell phone, or perhaps it may be your own schedule that has taken away from spending time with the family… then set aside time for a family movie night. Before the movie starts have some snacks prepared or call-out for pizza delivery. You might just find that the family movie night becomes a weekly-anticipated event that is much enjoyed.
Have a blessed and enjoyable day!

Hope everyone enjoyed a wonderful holiday. I took a few days to enjoy my family and friends during this special time. My brother took some video and I took some digital pictures, which we always enjoy and treasure.
Although I am by no means a professional, my picture taking is beginning to improve by the helpful hints my brother offers to me. Photography is a hobby for my brother. He has captured some wonderful pictures of birds, animals and flowers. There is a special feeling of satisfaction and even pride when a picture we have taken stands out as being special.
My brother never took many pictures until after his retirement a few years ago. Since that time he has learned a great deal about photography and it does show in his pictures. If you have someone in your life that has recently retired or perhaps looking for a hobby then suggest photography as a possible option.
There are some wonderful camera products in today's market along with some great photography resources. Here's a great Valentine's Day gift idea…if your "sweetheart" has a camera, but lacks photography skills, then consider giving a great photography resource to help improve their pictures. You just might open the door to a wonderful hobby for them.
Have a blessed and enjoyable day!
Cheers,
Gin
