There is no better way to help bring the specialness of the Easter season into our homes than by adding Easter lilies to our home's décor.  The Easter lily is absolutely beautiful!  They are simple and classic, but make a stunning and captivating presentation when placed in a focal area of the home; such as on each side of the dining buffet or perhaps as accent display on a sofa table. 

Innocence and purity captures the essence of this flower, which helps renew within us a special feeling of hope and life, which is the heart and purpose of Easter.  However, it is important for cat owners to know that the Easter lily contains toxins that can cause severe kidney damage in cats. 

Another safety reminder for the Easter season is that chocolate contains theobromine, which is toxic to cats and dogs.  So be sure Easter baskets are well guarded from pets if they contain chocolate candy.  If you have pets and children you might also consider stocking Easter baskets with candies other than chocolate.  Children often love to share their treats with their furry friend.  You can find a huge selection of candies in today's market that can easily appease a child's "sweet" appetite.
